The plot of The Fast and the Furious.
Exhilarating and fast paced, The Fast and the Furious has a colourful vehicle racing story at its centre. Starring Paul Walker and Vin Diesel, the film looks at the dark underbelly of the automotive import market in Asia. A cop called Brian O'Connor is ordered to catch a number of thieves, who use cars that have been powered up to steal goods, by becoming friends with a street racing gang. He participates in a street racing tournament in the desert in a Dodge Ranger and starts racing against ex-prisoner Dom Toretto. In the closing scenes Dom hurts himself and Brian allows him run free instead of arresting him for his crimes because he has started a relationship with his sister. The movie fulfils its aim to provide spectacular scene shots and entertainment.
What is The Italian Job about?
Anybody with a slight interest in cars and prestigious movies will have heard of The Italian Job. The Brit classic has amassed a massive following and modern versions of the picture, released in cinemas in 1969, have since been created starring superb actors like Charlize Theron and Mark Wahlberg. Veteran actor Michael Caine is the main character. His character, called Charlie, gathers a team of friends together to steal a package of gold bars from Torino, Italy with the help of two Jaguars, three Mini Coopers and a bus. Plenty of car chases follow through the rivers, sewers, city streets, highways and rooftops. Charlie and his team do get the gold in the end but their bus starts skidding on the road and they are left balancing on a cliff edge - the film comes to an end as the men work out how to save themselves and their loot.
