An introduction to Top Gear.

Top Gear originally started in 1977 as a factual magazine programme featuring a wide range of presenters, a few of which went on to front the Channel 5 programme 'Fifth Gear'. During 2002 the iconic show was updated to be studio based whilst placing more of an emphasis on the program's eccentric humour and the character traits of presenters James May, Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond. A key feature of the show is the unique tests they carry out on vehicles, like the famous Top Gear review of the Toyota Hilux. The tests included crashing into a tree in the car and pummelling it with a wrecking ball. Top Gear is a must see for any motoring fanatic.
